- You're touching an important point here, which is fixed by a simple
- rule: every ASCII symbol X on the keyboard which is NOT a letter
- (digits because of the French keyboard?), the only combination that
- makes sense is Control + X. Simply because on some keyboards this will
- mean include Shift and on others it means don't.

- Another way of formulating this is: if there's only one sign on the
- key, you can combine it with whatever you want, but if there's two
- (such as ',' and '<', or '#' and '~' on the UK board, or '<' and '>'
- on the German one), then never use a combination with Shift in it.
